Access Hundreds of Documents!
Most documents in the Contractors' Knowledge Bank
can be accessed by the public. Some documents can be accessed exclusively
by members of the American Subcontractors
Association. Documents are added to the Knowledge Bank every
day.
How To Search
Search for documents by entering terms and pressing
"Start Search." A list of document titles sorted by closeness
to the terms you entered will be retrieved. If you're not sure how
to start your search, try a full text search with a very general
term such as Contract, Payment, Article, Legal, Surety Bond, Legislation,
Newsletter or Technology.
You may refine your search by specifying what parts
of documents you wish to search: title, keywords, document description,
full text. Simply check the box next to the type of search you wish
to conduct; you may select more than one type of search at the same
time.
Retrieved
documents are in MS-Word, PDF or HTML formats. The results will
be displayed below the search box.
Search Tips
- By default, the search engine will look for
exact words or phrases.
- Searches are not case-sensitive and ignore hyphenation
(-), treating
hyphens as empty spaces between words.
- Use asterisks (*) to perform wild card searches.
For example, entering
sub* will return all documents containing words beginning with
sub
(subcontract, subtract, etc.). If you enter *ing, the search engine
will
return all documents containing words that end in ing (running,
=
building, etc.).
- To conduct "or" searches, separate
search words or phrases with commas
(,). For example, entering ASA,Retainage will return all documents
containing either ASA or Retainage.
